News

May 2003 - Glitterbug are taking a bit of a break until mid-summer due to other commitments which have gone a bit mental:-)
Richie's punky upstarts KITTY HUDSON are tearing up a storm - definitely worth checking out their live shows. (Oh, he's also the guitarist for Sinead "Fame Academy" Quinn in her new video)
Tim and ex-drummer Matt are playing with The Strokes producer Gordon Raphael.
Leighton's written a killer script about life on the road with a rock 'n' roll band (hope it's been edited to exclude some of gbug's more libelous episodes!)
Tom's well busy rocking with a couple of other bands - more news when they've got some gigs coming up.

March 2003 - New merchandise added on the shop page. If you missed the Bug Bar show, don't fret, as it was recorded by Fluff and his bitching minidisc machine. Also available is The Moon Studios sessions - 10 tracks of rawness recorded in a haunted ex-spiritualist church (spooky) featuring tons of stuff you won't have heard before.

Bug Bar Tracklisting: London's Burning (fade in), Have Guitar, will travel, Forgotten Friends, Skywalking, Brand New Gun, Today Tonight Tomorrow, The time is now, The Music saved us, Like a Prayer (and others... 12 tracks total).

July 2002 - Glitterbug Keep Praying After Crashing Their Website!

You may have noticed the site was down for a week when over 70,000 users visited and 30,000 tried to download the "Like a Prayer" mp3 over two weeks. The amount of hits received exceeded the bands allowed bandwidth on the server by 2000%! When you think that it only takes 35,000 sales some weeks to get to number one in the official Gallup Chart and only 15,000 sales to chart top 40, 30,000 downloads is an incredible feat. The band have also recorded a tongue in cheek video (available HERE) which sees Vogue Madonna, Music Madonna, Gaultier Madonna and Virgin Madonna fighting with the band and between themselves for centre stage.
